Calamari Curls Contest

Summer season at Capt’n Kenny’s Fresh is busy and full of excitement. However, some weeks just come and go and we don’t even realize it.

Here at Capt’n Kenny’s Fresh, we want to, not only provide you with the most delicious food ever but to make it fun. So this week, we thought of getting everyone’s thinking caps on, so we decided to run a rhyme contest for our Calamari Curls and the results were overwhelming! We had 27 entries from our customers. With such great feedback, we were extremely grateful for every single entry we received!

The decision-making process was super difficult, as every entry was super creative and well written, but with the help of a great friend Tony Gaudet, from the very talented musical group Seawinds that he and his nephew Riley have together. Tony and Riley played for us last season on our inauguration week and have slowly become part of Capt’n Kenny’s Fresh by bringing East Coast music into our daily lives. This time, we invited Tony for our first season event to create a Rhyme for the Calamari Curls and we have chosen a winner – Trina Hall Samson!! We had wonderful entries and it was very hard to decide. Trina’s rhyme was full of spunk and charisma and was exactly what we were looking for. With her rhyme, she has won herself a free meal of our Calamari Curls!!

Again, we would like to personally thank everyone for taking the time to create the wonderful rhymes that were submitted to us, we really appreciated every single one! Stay tuned for more contests and chances to win more Capt’n Kenny’s Fresh Treats in the future!

Till next time,

Capt’n Kenny and Crew

La Capitana: I am a Mom, wife and everyday learner. I graduated as a musician and composer at McGill University, and I have a Marketing degree from IUT RC in Venezuela, my country of origin. I am also voice over talent in Spanish, which is my native language. Ever since Kenny and I started this adventure called Capt'n Kenny's Fresh, I am also a producer, director, writer, and blogger. It is a good thing because learning new things is one of my favorite pastimes. I love cooking, but only if I feel like it! If I am not in the mood, I could "burn the salad"! That is why Ken is the "designated cook" at home and I am the "occasional cook". We love exploring new dishes and trying new things.
